Producing Preguntas has been a healing, yet difficult experience for me because of how personal this song is and what it means to me. Throughout the process, the song definitely challenged me as both a producer and composer, especially when it came to working with dynamics and making sure the production supported the emotion behind the song.
Although I wrote and produced Preguntas, I couldn’t have done it without the amazing people who helped me along the way. One of the biggest things I learned through this experience is that as much as I may try to do everything myself, I can’t, and I don’t have to. Having other people believe in what this song could become just as much as I did was such a beautiful part of the process. Being able to bring them into something so personal to me and have their creativity become a part of the song made the experience and the final product even more meaningful.
